You may already be aware of recommendations such as freezing rent, capping rent increases, removing landlords’ rights to refuse pets, abolishing no-grounds termination notices and introducing portable bonds.

From the REINSW Roadshows summary
– Rent Payable under a tenancy agreement must not be increased during the freeze period.
– Rent freeze will end 2 years after the commencement day
– Rent payable must not be more than
1) if under agreement on 30th June 2023 , then the rent payable is at that time or
2) the median rent that is for the same exact property in the same postcode as outlined in RENT TABLES       MARCH 2023
